They were making this on our news channel. It's one of the anchormen's mom's recipe, that she has been making for years. Good for a brunch.

Number Of Ingredients 8

2 loaves rhodes sweet roll dough (thawed)
1/4 cup pecans (whole or chopped)
1/2 cup melted butter
1 tablespoon vanilla
3/4 cup light brown sugar, plus
3 tablespoons light brown sugar
3/4 cup white sugar
1 tablespoon cinnamon

Steps:

  • Prepare a bundt pan with cooking spray (buttered flavored), arrange pecans on bottom of pan.
  • Sprinkle 3 tbsp of brown sugar over the pecans.
  • In deep mixing bowl combine both sugars, cinnamon and mix well.
  • Melt butter and mix with vanilla.
  • Cut loaves in half and then into eights (each loaf should have 16 slices).
  • Roll each slice into a ball and dip in butter mixture.
  • Toss them into the sugar mixture to coat and layer on top of the pecan mixture in the pan.
  • Continue the process until all the slices /balls are coated and in the pan.
  • Let rise in a warm place until double in size.
  • Bake in a preheated 350°F oven for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Remove from oven and invert onto serving platter.
  • Allow the bread to rest about 5 minutes before removing the bundt pan.
  • Serve warm.
  • May prepare this the night before, follow the directions and cover with wax paper, it will continue to raise in the refrigerator overnight.
  • After you take it out let it come to room temperature, then just follow the baking directions.

2 cans (12.4 oz. each) refrigerated cinnamon rolls with icing
1/4 cup butter, divided
3 Granny Smith apples, chopped
1-1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1 pkg. (3.4 oz.) JELL-O Vanilla Flavor Instant Pudding
2 oz. (1/4 of 8-oz. pkg.) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened
1 Tbsp. water

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 350ºF.
  • Remove Cinnamon Rolls from cans; cut each into quarters. Reserve 1 Icing packet for later use; discard remaining packet or reserve for another use.
  • Melt 3 Tbsp. butter; reserve for later use. Melt remaining butter in large skillet on medium heat. Add apples and cinnamon; cook and stir 4 min. or until apples are crisp-tender.
  • Spray 10-cup fluted pan generously with cooking spray. Place 1/3 of the cinnamon roll pieces in prepared pan; cover with layers of half each of the dry pudding mix, reserved butter and apples. Repeat layers. Top with remaining cinnamon roll pieces.
  • Bake 40 min. or until golden brown. Carefully run knife around edges of pan to loosen bread; cool 5 min. Invert bread onto heatproof plate; remove pan. Cool bread 10 min.
  • Whisk cream cheese, water and reserved icing until blended; drizzle over bread.

4 1/2-5 cups all-purpose flour
1/3 cup sugar
2 (7 g) packages fast rising yeast (or 8g)
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup butter
2 eggs
1 cup pure maple syrup
1 cup chopped walnuts

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, combine 2 cups of flour, sugar, undissolved yeast and salt.
  • Heat milk, water and 5 tablespoons butter until very warm (120F-130F). Stir into dry ingredients. Mix in eggs and enough remaining flour to make soft dough.
  • Knead on floured surface until smooth, about 6 minutes. Cover let rest 10 minutes.
  • Divide dough into 32 pieces; roll into balls. Melt remaining butter. Dip balls in butter.
  • Layer evenly on bottom of greased 10 inch tube pan with non-removable bottom; 1/3 cup maple syrup, ½ cup nuts,16 balls, 1/3 cup maple syrup, ½ nuts, 16 balls and 1/3 cup maple syrup.
  • Cover and let rise in warm place until it has doubled in size, about 30-40 minutes.
  • Bake in 375F preheated oven for 35 minutes or until done. Cover with foil during the last 10 minutes of baking.
  • Invert on serving plate.
