HOT PEANUT BUTTER FUDGE TOPPING

Hot Peanut Butter Fudge Topping image

Tastes like peanut butter fudge. An easy, quick sauce or topping. I just whipped this up one night on a whim and I liked how it turned out. I used evaporated milk because it's what I had on hand, but it turned out to be a good thing! Peanut butter and honey measurements are approximate and were eye-balled. Use your best judgement to get the thickness desired. As long as you don't burn it you really can't go wrong with this. It's very important to keep stirring and not let the bottom burn. Serve warm, poured over ice cream or with a fresh banana on toast.

PEANUT BUTTER FUDGE PIE

Peanut Butter Fudge Pie image

This is a delicious super rich peanut butter pie. You layer the bottom of your pie crust with hot fudge for an extra special peanut butter pie. I like to use the Keebler 2 extra servings pie crust. It is just a slightly larger pie crust. This makes it easier to put the lid back on the pie crust and transport to picnics. Hope you enjoy it as much as we all do..

Provided by Sams Mom

Categories     Dessert

Time 15m

Yield 1 Pie, 8 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 7

1 graham cracker crust
1 (11 3/4 ounce) jar chocolate fudge topping
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
1 cup peanut butter, creamy
8 ounces Cool Whip, unthawed
8 ounces Cool Whip, unthawed
Hershey's syrup (to garnish)

Steps:

  • Warm hot fudge sauce slightly in microwave.
  • Spread onto bottom of graham cracker crust.
  • Place in freezer for 10 minutes until you assemble the rest of the pie.
  • Beat together the cream cheese, peanut butter and 1 container (8oz) Cool Whip.
  • Place on top of chilled hot fudge.
  • Top with additional container of Cool Whip.
  • Refrigerate.
  • Drizzle plate with Hershey's Syrup and place a slice of pie on top to serve.
  • Sometimes I only use half of the second container of Cool Whip so I can get the lid back on the pie dish. Also if you can't find the bigger size graham cracker crust, just make as shown but save the 2nd Cool Whip and put on pie when ready to serve.

HOT FUDGE PEANUT BUTTER PIE

Hot Fudge Peanut Butter Pie image

This is the holiday (Decadent Peanut Butter Pie) recipe from the Jif website. I haven't tried it yet, but I wanted to transfer it to my PDA.

Provided by TommyJames

Categories     Pie

Time 21m

Yield 1 pie, 6-8 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 chocolate cookie pie crust (prepared or your own)
1 cup smooth peanut butter
8 ounces cream cheese, that has been allowed to soften
1/2 cup sugar
1 (12 ounce) container whipped topping
1 (11 3/4 ounce) jar hot fudge

Steps:

  • Save 1 1/2 cups of whipped topping for the top of the pie.
  • Save 2 Tablespoons each of Peanut Butter and Hot Fudge for the decorative (and tasty) drizzle on top of the pie.
  • Once the cream cheese has softened to room temperature, in a bowl large enough for the ingredients, mix the Peanut Butter, Cream Cheese, and Sugar.
  • Then fold in 3 cups Whipped Topping.
  • Put the mixture into the Chocolate Pie Crust and spread it even to the edges.
  • Using a microwave safe dish or cup, warm all but the 2 Tablespoons of Hot Fudge that you set aside in the microwave for 1 minute.
  • Stir to evenly distribute the heat throughout the Hot Fudge.
  • Cover the Peanut Butter mixture in the pie crust with the Hot Fudge.
  • Refrigerate pie until it is time for dessert.
  • Prior to pesentation, spread the 1 1/2 cups of topping over the top of the pie.
  • Then, the drizzle.
  • Put the Hot Fudge and Peanut Butter that you saved earlier, into two separate sandwich bags.
  • Knead both to prepare for the drizzling.
  • Draw straight lines across the pie with the Peanut Butter.
  • Then, draw perpendicular lines across the pie wit the Hot Fudge.
  • Enjoy!

Categories     Chocolate     Dessert     Bake     Kid-Friendly     Peanut     Chill     Gourmet     Vegetarian     Pescatarian     Wheat/Gluten-Free     Tree Nut Free     Soy Free     Kosher     Small Plates

Yield Makes 8 generous servings

Number Of Ingredients 24

For chocolate layer
Vegetable oil for greasing pan
7 oz fine-quality bittersweet chocolate (not unsweetened), chopped
1 stick (1/2 cup) cold unsalted butter, cut into pieces
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
3 large eggs, lightly beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup salted dry-roasted peanuts (4 oz)
For peanut butter layer
4 oz cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter (not "natural")
3/4 cup confectioners sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup chilled heavy cream
1 teaspoon vanilla
For hot fudge sauce
1/3 cup heavy cream
3 tablespoons light corn syrup
3 tablespoons packed brown sugar
2 tablespoons Dutch-process unsweetened cocoa powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
3 1/2 oz fine-quality bittersweet chocolate (not unsweetened), chopped
1/2 teaspoon vanilla

Steps:

  • Make chocolate layer:
  • Put oven rack in middle position and preheat oven to 350°F. Line a 9-inch square baking pan with foil, allowing 2 inches of foil to hang over 2 opposite ends of pan, and lightly brush foil (except overhang) with oil.
  • Melt chocolate with butter, sugar, and salt in a double boiler or a large metal bowl set over a pan of barely simmering water, whisking occasionally, until smooth. Remove top of double boiler or bowl from heat and whisk in eggs and vanilla, then stir in peanuts.
  • Pour batter into baking pan and bake until set and edges are slightly puffed, about 15 minutes. Transfer cake in pan to a rack to cool completely.
  • Make peanut butter layer:
  • Beat cream cheese, peanut butter, confectioners sugar, and salt in a bowl with an electric mixer at medium speed until combined well, about 4 minutes.
  • Beat cream with vanilla in a bowl with cleaned beaters at medium-high speed until it just holds stiff peaks, then gently fold into peanut butter mixture until just combined.
  • Spread mixture evenly on top of chocolate layer and freeze, pan covered with foil, until firm, about 2 hours.
  • Make hot fudge sauce:
  • Bring cream, syrup, sugar, cocoa, salt, and chocolate to a boil in a 1-quart heavy saucepan over moderate heat, stirring until chocolate is melted. Reduce heat and simmer, stirring frequently, until thickened, about 3 minutes, then remove from heat. Stir in vanilla until incorporated. Cool sauce to warm.
  • To serve:
  • Carefully lift cake from pan by grasping overhang. Trim 1/4 inch from edges of cake and discard, then cut into 8 bars. Peel off foil and serve bars with sauce.

PEGGY'S HOT PEANUT BUTTER TOPPING FOR ICE CREAM

Peggy's Hot Peanut Butter Topping for Ice Cream image

This is a wonderful, simple recipe my mom came up with a few years ago. Kids and adults all seem to love this. It's great for informal get togethers. The real peanut butter is the key. You can use this along with hot fudge over vanilla ice cream for a real treat! I will have to post my Gram's malt shop hot fudge recipe to go along with it.

Provided by P.B.andJayne

Categories     Sauces

Time 3m

Yield 4 sundaes

Number Of Ingredients 2

1 cup peanut butter
brown sugar or white sugar

Steps:

  • Microwave peanut butter with enough sugar to taste for about 30 seconds. (Remember the ice cream will be sweet so the topping doesn't need to be as sweet. If you love sweet, go for it.).
  • Stir well and keep microwaving and stirring every 20 to 40 seconds until completely hot and pour able.
  • Taste to see if you like the peanut butter to sugar ratio and adjust accordingly.
  • Pour over ice cream scoops.
  • I don't really know if 1 cup of peanut butter will make four sundaes because I don't know how much ice cream you put in yours.

  • In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, and peanut butter. Microwave for 1 minute. Remove from microwave and stir until hot fudge sauce is creamy and smooth. If the sauce is still a little lumpy, microwave for 15 more seconds. Remove from the microwave and stir again. The sauce will be thick. If it is too thick for your liking, you can add 2 tablespoons of hot water. Serve the hot fudge warm over ice cream, frozen yogurt, cake, pie, or brownies.
  • Note-you can make the hot fudge on the stovetop. Heat in a saucepan and stir until creamy and smooth. Again, add a little hot water if the sauce is too thick, but note it should be thick! Store hot fudge in the fridge for up to 2 weeks. Reheat in the microwave for 15 to 30 seconds and stir.
